My aim is to help companies with their training and development strategy and coach/train their managers and staff. This will enable them to perform to their optimum and help them to fully understand the requirements of relevant legislation, employment law and the various day-to-day management tasks to enable them to stay safe within the law
I have 27 years of HR experience in both the public and private sectors, specialising in training and development strategy in line with organisation business objectives. This has included the design and delivery of a number of training programmes and initiatives for managers and their teams.
During my time at Hoyer, I had responsibility for recruitment, training and development and giving general HR and IR advice to managers across the UK and Ireland businesses. This included developing the training function across the businesses and I designed and delivered driver/operative, staff and management training programmes.
I have worked in many different countries, which has included the delivery of international management and leadership training in Holland, China and USA, safety training in Ireland and an overview of training of trainers’ programmes in Moscow, Russia.
I specialise in the following areas:
Management and Leadership Development;
Equality of Opportunity and Managing Diversity;
Management of Change;
Conflict Management;
Recruitment and Selection;
Disciplinary and Grievance Handling; and
Absence management.
I adopt an enthusiastic, energetic, participative and facilitative style, when delivering training material, which encourages individuals to learn, enables them to take on and internalise information and relate the learning to their day-to-day work. This approach to training also enables individuals to enjoy their learning as well as receiving the relevant knowledge to help them develop.
