For most of the business persons (not data-scientists) in any industry, the “data-science” skills are NOT solutions for effective and practical use of data. While many companies have been trying to improve the “data analysis” skills, with which you may extract something from the existing data you obtained and label it “insight”, they result in several useless graphs, charts and/or tables.
To address the situation, you need the skill to apply the data and analysis for your practical objectives/problems.
You may not get any valuable insights even with any excellent data analytics unless you use the “right” data. You may not get any “right data” unless you define the objective or problem in a proper way.
Fundamentally, “data-analysis” is not an objective but just a tool to achieve your objectives.
In this course, you will learn how to DESIGN your data analysis (as a tool) to meet the objectives. Learning data/graph reading techniques, academic statistics theory or analytical techniques (including data-science) is NOT the goal.
We will use some practical exercises with Microsoft Excel in order to learn the necessary process and some basic analytic techniques.
